What to Bring on Trail (for horsemen)

Suggestions:

• Bring the same stuff suggested for non-horsemen, plus...
• Leatherman knife with pliers
  • For fixing half-thrown shoes, and many other uses
• Easy Boot
  • To get your horse home after throwing a shoe
• Hoof pick
• Vet wraps
• Lead rope and halter
  • For hitching at resting places, or leading home in event of mishap
  • Never tie a horse with a bit in its mouth
• Small leather strap, shoelace, and/or large safety pin
  • For making emergency tack repairs

• Small section of rubber hose
  • Put it up their nose to keep airway open in event of snake bite on the nose
