Simple Right of Way Rules

• Bikes yield to both pedestrians and horses
• Pedestrians & joggers yield to horses

How should I "yield"?

• Bikes should slow down when near pedestrians
• Bikes should stop and allow a horse to pass - unless the rider indicates it is okay to proceed slowly
• Pedestrians and joggers should make room for a horse to pass through a narrow passage

Anything else?

• Approach blind corners slowly
• Let a horse know of your presence if approaching from behind. (Call out a friendly greeting.)
