Judy is a San Diego
Native and lives in Spring Valley just out of Bonita. As a single
parent, she raised two children, a daughter and son, now grown. She
is the proud grandmother of an 8 year old little girl, Haley. She
bought Dakota, an Icelandic Horse, for Haley who has the same love
of horses that she does. Judy lives with her two cats within walking
distance of Dakota whom she rides about 5 days a week, She was
around horses a lot as a youngster, but never had lessons.
She joined the
Bonita Valley Horsemen and became an active member a year ago. She
volunteers for the Park and Rec on trail patrol. Her passions
include riding Dakota and hiking. Most of the time you can find her
out on the trail on Dakota talking to park visitors or just
relieving the stress of daily life. She loves to be out in nature
and wants to help preserve it in any way she can. If there is a
group ride to be had, she is always looking for a way to get there.
Judy has worked for
San Diego Unified School District for 19 years and is looking
forward to retiring in 3-5 years and spending more time on
horseback. If you see her out on the trail, give her a "hi, howdy".
