Doug has lived off and on in the San Diego area since 1974.  The friendly and energetic professional has been active in horse affairs in the Bonita Valley beginning in 1995.

Doug and his horse “Bowtie” (call him “Bow”) can be found riding and discovering new riding areas throughout the Bonita Valley. Doug frequently leads exciting and interesting rides throughout the Bonita Valley and San Diego County areas.

Recently named as the Webmaster for the newly redesigned web site which can be found at www.bonitatrails.org Doug’s goal is to communicate the organization’s activities clearly and effectively in a timely manner.

For the past 10 years Doug has been employed by SunGard SCT in his capacity as Campus technology Specialist  for the San Diego Community College District.

The active horseman was born in Inglewood, California. The Cruger family moved to Hawaii in 1967. Doug attended McKinley High School in Honolulu and when his family moved to San Diego he enrolled at San Pasqual School in San Diego. Doug’s father, Ron and his mother, Carol live in the San Diego area as does his younger sister, Diane.

Doug is an active photographer and a computer specialist. He enjoys the rural life and strives to aid all of the Bonita Valley Horsemen to fully enjoy the area and the club’s rides through the Bonita Valley and other areas as well Doug also has his own web site (well Bow does) www.thegohorse.com.

Doug plans on posting photographs of club members and their activities on the organization’s web site. Doug is also dedicated to keeping club members informed of all group events, especially the popular weekly and monthly group rides. As some riders prefer fast pace rides and others slower ones, Doug’ s plan is to inform everyone of the nature of each ride. As for himself, Doug enjoys leading a fast ride. Doug is familiar with many of the Bonita Valley trails and will prove to be a valuable member as well as our new webmaster.
